Job summary

Benevis in Kentucky is seeking an Expanded Services Dental Assistant to join our clinical team and support the office and staff during treatment. This role involves assisting with procedures, taking x-rays where available, preparing trays, and ensuring sterilization and patient comfort.

You will educate patients on oral hygiene, guide parents through processes, and help maintain a smooth-operating dental practice while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Oral Surgery, Endo, Sedation dentistry preferred.
• X-ray certification preferred according to State regulations.
• CPR-BLS Certification required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors and patients through our processes before treatment.
• Educate patients in oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Take x-rays and save to patient charts (location dependent).
• Maintain hygiene bay and operatory readiness.
• Prepare tray sets for dental procedures.
• Mix materials and prepare impression materials.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs, and rooms.
• Assist dental staff with treatment and chart documentation.
• Support suctioning, retractors, and suture cutting during procedures.
• Pour, trim, and polish impression casts; fabricate custom trays.
• Adhere to regulations and company compliance programs; perform other duties as assigned.
