Job summary

Kid's Dentistree is seeking a Dental Assistant to deliver clinically excellent dental care and support the dentists and hygienists in daily procedures. You will assist with X-rays, patient education, and quality testing to help ensure precise diagnoses and smooth visits.

The role includes preparing the treatment room, sterilizing instruments, and delivering tools during procedures, while communicating compassionately with patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education and quality treatment. Assists dentists and hygienists in quality diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area; positioning instruments for the dentist's access; suctioning; and passing instruments.
• Places and finishes permanent restorations, completes preliminary Impressions, makes and polishes temporary crowns, removal temporary crowns, and fitting of permanent crowns and bridges, adjusting occlusions and interproximal areas, application of sealants, and adjusting partials and dentures.

Qualifications

• Certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or equivalent.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
