Steckler Pediatric Dentistry in Lexington, KY seeks an experienced EDDA to join our dedicated team. You will work closely with our pediatric dentists to provide compassionate, efficient care for children in a playful, kid-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• EDDA certification required.

• 1–2 years of EDDA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during pediatric procedures.
• Capture and process dental X-rays.
• Sterilize equipment and maintain a clean operatory.
• Perform coronal polishing and restoration placement.
• Update and maintain dental records and treatment plans.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist with setups.

A Day In the Life Of

• Assisting Dentist During Procedures: Work closely with our pediatric dentists to ensure smooth and efficient dental procedures. (Making temporary crowns and taking impressions)
• X-ray imaging: Capture and process X-rays of patients.
• Sterilization:Sterilizing equipment and maintaining a clean environment
• Coronal Polishing: Perform polishing procedures to maintain optimal oral health and placing restorations.
• Record Keeping: Update and maintain accurate dental records and charts.
• Room Prep: Assist with set up and cleaning of treatment rooms

What You'll Bring To The Table

Requirements:

• EDDA Certification: You must be a certified Expanded Duties Dental Assistant.
• X-Ray Certification: Proficiency in dental X-ray procedures.
• Experience: Ideally, you have 1-2 years of experience as an EDDA.
• Coronal Polishing Skills: Preferred but not mandatory.
