Whitewater Valley Dental, part of the Heartland Dental family, is seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team in Indiana. You will support the clinical treatment, take and develop X-rays, manage lab tasks, and help maintain patient comfort and care.

A state license and strong interpersonal skills are essential. We offer scheduled shifts Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (Fridays when scheduled).

Formación

• As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant you must have a positive and outgoing personality and strong patient-care skills.
• Superior knowledge of dental procedures and terminology and ability to build rapport with patients.
• Good manual dexterity and comfort with dental equipment and procedures.
• Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to learn new programs.
• Dental assisting school certificate is a plus and prior dental practice is beneficial.

• Assist the dentist in managing dental emergencies and supporting clinical treatment care.

A Heartland Dental supported office is seeking a friendly Expanded Function Dental Assistant to support the clinical treatment care of our patients. As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant at a Heartland Dental supported office, you will organize and maintain lab equipment, take and develop X-rays and provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures to patients.

Additional responsibilities of the Expanded Function Dental Assistant include

• Taking and recording medical and dental histories and patient vitalsigns
• Assisting the dentist in managing dental emergencies
• Improving your clinical skills and acumen through participation incontinuing education and training opportunities offered by HeartlandDental

Requirements

Job Requirement - Expanded Function Dental Assistant – EFDA – Dental Assistant

As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant, you must have a positive and outgoing personality, exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, excellent patient care skills and strong organizational skills.

• Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Good manual dexterity
• Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs
• Ability to travel at least once every other month for training, occasionally overnight
• Dental assisting school certificate is a plus
• Previous work experience in a dental practice is a plus
