Heartland Dental’s Key West Crossing Dental is seeking an Expanded Dental Assistant to join a team that leverages state-of-the-art technology and a supportive, learning-focused culture. The role centers on delivering exceptional patient care and assisting dentists with a wide range of procedures.

You will greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and support scheduling and safety protocols while collaborating with the Heartland Dental network to optimize office workflow.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state practice acts.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI data protection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients at the start of their dental journey.
• Review patient health history to inform care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply inventories and place/expedite orders.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
