The position requires an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, 5+ years of content development and 2+ years of supervisory experience, with strong writing and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in natural or social sciences, education, nonfiction writing, museum studies, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience researching, organizing material, developing concepts, and writing for a public audience
  • 2+ years of supervisory and management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Develop exhibit content for delivery through text, including copy, labels, and scripts
  • Write, edit, revise, fact-check, and proofread exhibit text for readability
  • Coordinate translation of label text to additional languages as needed
  • Manage up to two direct reports or temporary staff and oversee onboarding and performance
  • Participate in installation of final exhibit objects, labels, and interactives with the exhibit team
  • Support cross-departmental collaboration and attend all staff meetings and committees
