Job summary

Deckel & Moneypenny is seeking an Exhibit Designer to bring brands to life through immersive exhibits. You will develop strategies, analyze show plans and translate goals into three-dimensional experiential spaces, collaborating with clients and internal teams from concept to final drawings.

The ideal candidate excels at concept development, 3D modeling, and presenting designs with attention to detail. This full-time in-office role requires strong self-management and proactive problem-solving

Qualifications

• In-person: Full-time presence required at Louisville, KY office.
• Proficient in 3D modeling and drafting in Vectorworks (training provided).
• Knowledge of Keyshot rendering and Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
• Ability to progress 3D designs from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail for construction, production, and product details.
• Creative, proactive problem-solver who is resourceful and organized.
• Confident and organized presenter; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop marketing strategies appropriate to each brand, show, and target audience.
• Analyze show plans, client briefs, and show objectives to develop innovative exhibit concepts.
• Conceptualize and develop interactive experiences, 3D exhibit elements, interiors, and artifact displays.
• Visualize design concepts through hand sketches, 3D models, renderings, and mockups.
• Translate project goals into three-dimensional experiential spaces from concept to final drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to meet project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
• Create comprehensive drawing packages, including concept and construction drawings with internal teams.
• Manage documentation and deliverables to support each project.
• Prepare and present designs in client and internal presentations.

As an Exhibit Designer at Deckel & Moneypenny, you'll be instrumental in bringing brands to life through immersive experiences and captivating exhibits. From developing marketing strategy, analyzing show plans to presenting finalized designs, you'll be involved in every step of the process. Your ability to conceptualize, communicate, and execute multi-disciplinary designs to fulfill marketing objectives will be crucial in exceeding client expectations and delivering unforgettable experiences.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop marketing strategies appropriate to each brand, show, and target audience.
• Analyze show plans, client briefs, and show objectives to develop innovative exhibit concepts.
• Conceptualize and develop interactive experiences, 3D exhibit elements, interiors, and artifact displays.
• Visualize design concepts through various mediums such as hand sketches, 3D models, computer renderings, and mockups.
• Translate project goals and interpretive plans into three-dimensional experiential spaces, from conceptual stage to final drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to develop executable concepts, manage project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
• Create comprehensive drawing packages, including concept drawings, construction drawings and setup drawings, in collaboration with internal resources.
• Manage documentation and deliverables to support each unique project.
• Prepare and present designs in client and internal presentations.

Requirements:

• In-person: Full-time in-person presence required at our Louisville, KY Office.
• Software proficiency: Must perform 3D modeling and drafting functions in Vectorworks (Training provided); Keyshot rendering and Adobe Suite experience are a plus.
• Self-managing: Able to progress 3D designs from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail: Able to manage a large amount of construction, production, and product details to ensure proper planning and execution.
