Job summary

Orlando Science Center is seeking an Exhibit Cleaner (PT) to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of exhibits. The role includes restocking consumables, exhibit resets, and reporting issues as they arise.

The position is entry level, part-time (25 hours/week), and requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Weekend availability is expected, with potential for additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience & Certifications: N/A
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in basic sanitation and cleaning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exhibits are kept clean and presentable by cleaning, dusting, washing, and vacuuming exhibits.
• Perform high-level cleaning with ladders, scaffolding or scissor lifts.
• Clean and organize exhibit components, exhibit halls and shop.
• Follow health and safety procedures when disposing of chemicals and when using cleaning equipment.
• Assist Exhibit Technician team members by moving exhibits, stage set up and removal, organizing storage areas, and operating basic hand and power tools.
• Report any exhibit challenges to the Exhibit Technician I.
• Able to work independently.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Summary/Objective

The Exhibit Cleaner (PT) is entry level position primarily responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of Orlando Science Center’s exhibits. Other duties may include replenishing exhibit consumables, exhibit resets and reporting exhibit issues as they arise.

Expected Hours of Work & Travel
