CenterPoint in Woodbury, MN is seeking a Builder to fabricate trade show booths and exhibits. You will read shop drawings, operate woodshop tools, and assemble components using KD fasteners, working with lumber, plywood, MDF, acrylic and metal.

The role emphasizes safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork, with a Monday–Friday schedule 6:00am–2:30pm, in-person work at 375 Rivertown Drive. Compensation ranges from $25 to $29 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in construction, cabinet making, home improvement or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry and cabinet making.
• Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Demonstrate clear and effective communication skills.
• Tradeshow industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand shop and production drawings to construct exhibit structures, crates, and other related projects.
• Safely operate woodshop tools and apply basic mechanical skills while working with lumber, plywood, MDF, acrylic, metal, laminate, wood veneer, and plastics to fabricate exhibit components.
• Utilize basic math to calculate measurements according to specifications.
• Join various fabricated elements with KD fasteners.
• Develop cut sheets for efficient materials usage.
• Complete layout and construction of shipping containers/crates within timelines.
• Adhere to production estimates to manage time effectively.
• Test-fit exhibit components to verify fit and function.
• Complete documentation such as timecards and cut sheets.
• Work collaboratively in a team and embrace CenterPoint values.
