Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Exeter, NH is seeking a dedicated cleaning professional to join our hospital environmental services team. You will perform general and targeted cleaning across all areas, using PPE to ensure safety and quality care.

The role also involves waste handling, linen logistics, and supply replenishment in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Vaccination against influenza is required for all staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to implement oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all areas as assigned and cleans floors using vacuuming, dry mopping, and damp mopping techniques.
• Performs wall washing and window cleaning.
• Handles waste removal, including general, biohazard/infectious waste, sharps, hazardous, and confidential waste.
• Uses cleaning chemicals in accordance with use guidelines.
• Issues, delivers, and removes linens to assigned areas in accordance with established protocols and documents all issues.
• Maintains and replenishes supplies on carts and in closets in an orderly, clean fashion in accordance with established protocols.
• May provide job training for new hires.
• Job assignment may require carrying a beeper and monitoring the bed tracker system, responding to all calls in a timely manner.
• Reports all aesthetic issues and repair needs to manager.
• Reports, removes, and tags any defective, damaged, or broken equipment using LOTO procedures as required.

Pay Range

$16.46 - $23.62

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
