Baptist Memorial Health Care in Meridian, MS, seeks a fitness and cardiac rehabilitation professional to provide exercise and rehab services, assist with daily program operations, and act as a personal trainer for clients. Work requires decision-making skills, emergency medical skills, supervisory skills, written and verbal communication skills. Incumbent should strive to be physically fit and live a healthy lifestyle to be a role model for the clients. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health, and healing. Performs other duties as assigned.

Entry level

Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties. Able to understand and prepare moderately complex written materials, such as client records. Ability to communicate verbally with other employees, physicians and other professionals.
Specilaized training and/or certification related to practice setting. Completion of a BS degree in Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation, or similar program.
Arthritis Foundation Certification, ANA Rehab Certification, CSCS Certification, MES Certification, APTA Rehab Certification or AACVPR.
Basic computer literacy skills.
BLS certification within 14 days of hire date
