Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University is seeking an adjunct faculty member in Exercise Science to teach core and elective courses at undergraduate and, when applicable, graduate levels. Assignments may be on the main campus or at off‑campus sites within our region, with responsibilities including curriculum development and contributing to student learning outcomes.

The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field, with preference for a doctorate, teaching experience

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Exercise Science or related field with at least 18 graduate hours.
  • Doctorate degree preferred from regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate courses in Exercise Science.
  • Five or more years of experience in the discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches core or elective courses in the undergraduate Exercise Science program.
  • Contributes to course and/or curriculum development.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Job Description
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
  • Teaches core or elective courses in the undergraduate ExerciseScience program as applicable.
  • Contributes to course and/or curriculum development.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Exercise science or a related field with atleast 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree or higher in from a regionally accreditedinstitution or equivalent accreditation.
  • Experience teaching courses at the undergraduate level.
  • Five or more years of experience in the discipline.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of strength and conditioning techniques.
  • Knowledge of fitness assessment training.
  • Knowedlge of fitness assessment, exercise training, andexercise prescription.
