Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Exercise Physiologist 2 for the East Cardiac Rehabilitation program. You will provide clinical assessments, develop and adjust treatment plans, and perform EKG stress testing for Cardiac Rehabilitation patients and firefighters, documenting results in the EMR.

You will educate participants and staff on prevention and rehabilitation, coordinate admissions and follow-up, and collaborate with physicians and management to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Healthcare and risk reduction program experience preferred.
• Familiarity with telemetric monitoring is required.

Job Title:Exercise Physiologist 2Department:East | Cardiac Rehabilitation

Provides clinical assessments and treatment plans according to the established Outpatient Care East Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab protocols and guidelines for prevention/wellness and chronic disease management programs. Plans, implements, evaluates, and modifies programs for participants in outpatient rehab. Preforms EKG stress testing on Cardiac Rehab patients and fire fighters with completion of testing documentation in the EMR. Educates program participants and staff in prevention and rehabilitation process to better understand participant's condition and adopt a plan of care. Maintains appropriate follow-up of patients. Participates in performance initiatives. Manages patient admissions and charge entry, ensures cleanliness of the treatment space. Communicates with patients, families, management, staff, and physicians.

Position Summary

Provides direct patient education and care for the patients of Outpatient Care East Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs. Assists in clinical, technical, clerical, and educational operations at OSU Outpatient Care East. Must display highly refined skills in interpersonal communication, organization, program planning, and customer service.

Additional Information

Healthcare and /or risk reduction programs with clinical skill base and familiarity with telemetric monitoring required; experience in cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation preferred.
