Job summary

Eastlake Cardiovascular Associates PC in St Clair Shores, MI is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to join our on-site rehabilitation team. You will perform cardiovascular exercise assessments, develop individualized exercise prescriptions, monitor responses, and educate patients and families on safe activity and lifestyle changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field; ACSM/AACVPR preferred.
• Experience in clinical or hospital-based cardiac rehab.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and documentation skills.
• Experience with cardiovascular risk factors and monitoring equipment.
• Ability to follow clinical protocols and protect patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cardiovascular exercise assessments and develop individualized exercise prescriptions.

Role Description

The Exercise Physiologist role at Eastlake Cardiovascular is an on-site position based in St Clair Shores, MI. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring patient responses to exercise, tracking progress, educating patients and families on safe activity and lifestyle modifications, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to optimize treatment plans. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to safety protocols, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in Physiology and Exercise Physiology.
• Candidates should possess skills in Exercise Prescription and Rehabilitation to support individualized patient care plans.
• Candidates should possess experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation, including supervised exercise and patient education in a cardiovascular setting.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field; relevant certification (e.g., ACSM, AACVPR) preferred.
• Experience in a clinical or hospital-based cardiac rehab environment and familiarity with cardiovascular risk factors and monitoring equipment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated ability to follow clinical protocols, prioritize patient safety, and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.
