Job summary

Advantage Technical is seeking an Expeditor for an on-site role in Columbia, MD. This 12-month contract position may lead to direct hire.

The Expeditor will monitor and expedite material deliveries, coordinate with buyers, engineering and manufacturing teams, and ensure schedules align with end-user needs. Responsibilities include communicating with vendors, updating purchase orders, and reporting variances to prevent delays.

• Works with Buyers to monitor, control, coordinate and expedite delivery of materials ordered.
• Ensure delivery aligns with end users' needs and report variances for workarounds.
• Confer with engineering, technical or manufacturing personnel.
• Interacting With Computers - use of computers and systems to enter data or process information.
• Organize, plan, and prioritize work to accomplish tasks.
• Contact vendors for delivery, material availability, shipping confirmation and transportation mode.
• Update the on-line Purchase Order with ship information.
• Notify Buyer and Planner of variances impacting schedule.
• Review daily Receiving Report and update files accordingly.
• Assist in resolving non-receivable material problems.

Pay/Duration: $22-$26 per hour / 12 months contract to potential direct hire

Responsibilities

• Works in conjunction with the Buyers to monitor, control coordinate and expedite as necessary the delivery of materials ordered.
• The primary function is to unsure that delivery of material is consistent with the end users need and to report; on variances so that appropriate work around can be establish.
• Confer with engineering, technical or manufacturing personnel
• Interacting With Computers - Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to enter data, or process information.
• Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work - Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
• Contacts vendors and obtains information regarding delivery, material availability, shipping conformation and mode of transportation
• Updates the on-line Purchase Order with appropriate will ship information
• Notifies the Buyer and Planner of any variances that would impact the schedule
• Reviews the daily Receiving Report and updates files accordingly
• Assists in resolving non-receivable material problems

The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
