Job summary

Wings Credit Union, formed by a January 2026 merger with Ent Credit Union, seeks a Senior VP of Accounting to lead the enterprise accounting function, ensure accurate monthly closes, and maintain strong internal controls as the organization scales.

This role partners with Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Operations to deliver reliable financial reporting, audit readiness, tax support, and strategic financial planning while building a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field is required.
• 12+ years in progressive accounting/controllership/audit leadership within financial institutions or similar.
• Experience leading month-end close, GL governance, reconciliations, and tax compliance.
• Strong internal controls, audit readiness, and regulatory reporting expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise accounting function, month-end close, GL, reconciliations, and records.
• Define and enforce accounting policies, close governance, and internal control frameworks.
• Oversee AP, fixed assets, expense admin, tax support, and audit readiness.
• Coordinate with Finance, Treasury, Risk, Operations on reliable financial reporting.
