Job summary

Google is seeking a seasoned speechwriter and editor to support executive leaders in Mountain View, CA. You will craft speeches, op-eds, video scripts, and internal communications that clearly explain complex issues to journalists, policymakers, and employees.

You will lead editorial for executives across channels and collaborate with teams across global communications, marketing, product and policy to deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or internal and executive communications with technology products or services.

Responsibilities

• Lead speechwriting and editorial for executive leaders across channels (blogs, op-eds, video scripts, internal communications).
• Work cross-functionally with teams across global communications, marketing, product and policy to produce high quality, high volume content for external and internal audiences.
• Maintain editorial calendar, keeping up to date with the latest company and product announcements and creating data-driven strategies to inject executive voice.
• Develop and pitch creative ideas for editorial and content, going beyond traditional channels and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Pitch in on content development for social media, briefings, talking points, company narratives and special projects as needed.
