Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a communications leader to serve as the primary partner for our Malta, New York manufacturing site. The role leads site communications, executive engagement, media relations and employer branding to strengthen employee engagement and leadership visibility.

The position collaborates with Quality and Corporate Communications to position GF as a technology leader and employer of choice across New York and the broader region.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing, storytelling and presentation development capabilities.
• Experience managing media relations and external stakeholder engagement.
• Executive presence and ability to influence across multiple levels.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities independently.
• Strategic communications planning aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Site communications and leadership support for Malta manufacturing site, advisor to site leadership.
• Develop and execute communication strategies that support business priorities and employee engagement.
• Lead communications for major site initiatives, workforce programs and organizational changes.
• Ensure site messaging aligns with corporate communication while addressing local needs.
• Partner with Quality to develop campaigns reinforcing quality culture and customer trust.
• Support executive communications for site leaders, including talking points and speeches.
• Manage media relations for New York region and coordinate media activities with Corporate Communications.
• Lead community engagement across New York's Capital Region and engage policymakers.

Education

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field
