Job summary

4DMT is seeking an Executive Medical Director to lead ophthalmology clinical development. You will design, execute, and analyze Phase 1 retina trials, mentoring cross‑functional teams and ensuring safety and data integrity.

Reporting to the CMO with dotted-line to R&D leadership, you will drive biomarker strategies, regulatory submissions, and scientific leadership to advance programs from concept to regulatory decision.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of clinical ophthalmology research in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with medical monitoring and oversight of Phase 1 retina clinical trials.
• Knowledge of ICH‑GCP and FDA regulatory guidelines.
• Strong scientific writing and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical development for Phase 1 retina trials, including study design and safety oversight.
• Provide medical monitor and ensure data integrity across studies.
• Lead cross‑functional study teams (clinical ops, biometrics, regulatory, safety, CMC, etc.).
• Organize scientific advisory activities and regulatory interactions.
