Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Houston is seeking an accounting and finance recruiting professional to grow a specialized talent network and partner with business development to connect clients with top talent.

You will source, engage, evaluate, and recruit professionals for direct-hire roles, manage candidates through the hiring process, and build long-term relationships across offices to support client delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting, consulting, or financial experience; public accounting preferred.
• Strong interviewing, networking, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand finance and accounting roles and communicate opportunities effectively.
• Bachelor's degree required.

What You’ll Do

• Source, engage, evaluate, and recruit finance and accounting professionals for direct-hire opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified passive and active candidates through networking, referrals, social media, market intelligence, and direct outreach.
• Conduct candidate interviews to understand experience, career goals, compensation expectations, location preferences, and specialized skill requirements.
• Partner closely with business development professionals to understand client needs, clarify job requirements, and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Present qualified candidates with clear, accurate summaries of their experience, motivation, and fit for each opportunity.
• Manage candidates throughout the hiring process, including interview preparation, feedback, offers, and job transitions.
• Develop long-term candidate relationships and maintain regular communication to create repeat and referral opportunities.
• Collaborate across offices, practices, and markets to share talent and support client delivery.
• Maintain accurate candidate, job, and activity information in our ATS and CRM system.
• Achieve individual recruiting, placement, and performance objectives.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of accounting, consulting, or financial experience. Public accounting experience highly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree required.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Highspring depends on a wide range of factors, including an individual’s skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as business and organizational needs. As required by applicable law, Highspring believes the compensation range below reasonably reflects the base salary or hourly pay for this position in locations where pay range disclosure is required.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in incentive compensation programs designed to reward individual and company success. Actual incentive compensation will vary based on individual, team, and company performance, as well as the terms of applicable incentive plans. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.

Base Compensation

$50,000—$90,000 USD
