Job summary

Edgeworth Security is seeking an Executive Protection Specialist to support security operations for a designated principal in the Denver area. The role requires a high degree of motivation and adaptability to fluid operational requirements and client needs.

Successful candidates will have strong protective operations experience, a background in law enforcement or military is valued, and must meet licensing and training requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in protective operations.
  • Law enforcement or military background is highly desired.
  • Graduation from a protective operations training program preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Colorado Security License, CPR/AED certification, and CCW required.
  • Strong knowledge of Protective Intelligence functions and tools.
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Able to lift 20+ lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day personal protective security functions.
  • Drive the principal’s vehicle.
  • Conduct protective advances as required.
  • Conduct site surveys and risk assessments.

Overview

Edgeworth is recruiting for an Executive Protection Specialist to support all aspects of security operations for a designated principal. Successful performance in this role will require a high degree of motivation and the ability to adapt to fluid and dynamic security performance modes, locations, teams, and structures. This is a dynamic position requiring flexibility and an ability to adapt to changing operational requirement as directed by client needs.

Essential Job Function and Responsibilities
  • Provide protective coverage for the principal and their family in a way that is professional, courteous, and in compliance with Edgeworth’s Standard Operating Procedures and best practices.
  • Perform day-to-day personal protective security functions.
  • Drive the principal’s vehicle.
  • Conduct protective advances as required.
  • Conduct site surveys and risk assessments.
  • Participate in recurring protective operations training, to include emergency medical, vehicle operations, surveillance detection, and firearms proficiencies.
  • Document security incidents, including preparing reports and briefs as needed.
  • Ability to utilize with expert working proficiency computers, tablets, phones, satellite communications devices, and other electronics
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Compensation is targeted at $43 hourly based on experience and certifications.

Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years experience in protective operations. Candidates with experience operating within the law enforcement and/or military (with honorable discharge), sectors are highly desired and preferred. A graduate of a reputable protective operations training program is desired.

  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Colorado Security License, CPR/AED certification, and CCW required; proof of licenses and certifications are required prior to offer.
  • Strong working knowledge of Protective Intelligence functions, platforms, software and tools
  • Leadership and management experience desired.
  • Strong base knowledge in all facets of protective operations.
  • Advanced understanding of technology-based protective applications.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc.).
  • Proficient knowledge of Google Workspace.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of physical fitness and personal appearance.
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to lift items of 20+ Ibs. or more and stand for long periods of time.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to successfully complete an extensive background investigation.
  • Tactical law enforcement is highly desired.
