Job summary

The role requires NYS armed security licenses and pistol permit in the area, with 3 years of armed security or police experience, and will involve investigations and surveillance in collaboration with local law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• NYS Armed Security Guard license and NYS Pistol Permit (in geographic area of employment and residence) and three (3) years Armed Security Guard experience, required. OR NYS Armed Security Guard license AND NYS Pistol Permit (in geographical area of employment and residence) AND prior NYS Police Officer experience (in good standing), required. OR NYS Private Investigator License AND NYS Pistol Permit (in geographical area of employment and residence) AND three (3) years Private Investigator or Armed Security Guard experience, required. OR Active NYS Police Officer Certification, required.

Responsibilities

• Provides executive protection and transportation.
• Coordinates overall security and protection of all people, facilities, and property in the organization.
• Participates in internal and external investigations, as directed, for fraud or criminal activity against the company resulting in loss of assets, records or property as well as addressing threats made against employees, patients and visitors.
• Performs field surveillance and assists with maintenance of security systems; collects and maintains evidence against probable suspects.
• Maintains data and security reports. Collaborates with local law enforcement on investigations. Testifies in court, if necessary. Carries a firearm, as directed.
• May be called to assist in handling any organization emergency.
• Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.
