Job summary

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) seeks a Project Director, ABCD Program, to provide scientific leadership and direction for a major trans-NIH research initiative. The role requires coordinating with NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices, DAIRC, and site investigators to plan, implement, and evaluate program activities.

The position is full-time in Rockville, MD, with eligibility for civil service benefits, potential relocation assistance, and a commitment to equal opportunity

Qualifications

• MD and/or PhD in health or allied science with substantial research experience.
• Experience in neurodevelopment, neuroimaging, or related areas.
• Demonstrated executive leadership in managing large research programs and collaborators.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership for the ABCD Program and set its priorities.
• Coordinate and oversee trans-NIH collaborations and oversight activities.
• Advise senior NIH leadership on strategic scientific and programmatic issues.
• Represent the study in interactions with scientists, stakeholders, and partner organizations.
