Charter Communications’ Spectrum News is seeking an Executive Producer toOwn the vision for the newscast and lead the team from story creation to production across multiple platforms. You’ll build a positive culture, generate locally relevant stories, and guide data-driven decisions to engage communities.

You will manage projects from breaking news to special programming, with hands-on coaching in graphics, cameras, and cross-newsroom workflows, while staying adaptable to a fast-paced newsroom

Qualifications

• 5+ years producing and executive producing in television news.
• 2+ years management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or comparable television work experience.
• Preferred working knowledge of general computer software.
• Basic editing and ability to effectively train others.
• Open to travel to cover stories in your neighborhood.
• Willing to work different shifts and adapt to schedule changes.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Producing and executive producing in television news - 5+ years,
• Management: 2+ years
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or comparable television work experience
• Technical Skills: Preferred working knowledge of general computer software
• Skills: Basic editing and ability to effectively train others
• Travel: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
• Schedule: Works different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of newsroom software, and basic non-linear editing systems
• May be required to lift up to five pounds

Working Conditions

• Works primarily inside a climate-controlled environment throughout the year but might be assigned occasional field duties
• Semi-noisy newsroom environment

A qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.

The base pay for this position generally is between $78,900.00 and $139,500.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
