Fox Chicago is seeking a dynamic Executive Producer to lead our newsroom’s digital-first daily editorial vision across newscasts and digital platforms.

The role oversees a diverse team of producers, reporters, anchors, and assignment desk staff, shaping content, ensuring accuracy, and driving breaking news coverage with innovative storytelling. On-site in Chicago, 7-10+ years in news preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7-10+ years of newsroom experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong editorial judgment and decision-making skills under deadline pressure.
• Proven ability to implement a multi-platform news distribution strategy.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, breaking news environment.

Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations (FTS) owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations, including stations in 14 of the top 15 markets and duopolies in 11. Eighteen are FOX Network affiliates, and together the stations produce approximately 1,300 hours of local news every week. JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox Chicago is seeking a dynamic and strategic Executive Producer to lead our newsroom’s digital-first daily editorial vision, content execution, and team performance. This role is responsible for overseeing newscasts and programs across multiple platforms, ensuring high-quality journalism, strong storytelling, and audience-driven content that reflects the Chicago market. The ideal candidate is a decisive leader with a passion for digital-first thinking, breaking news, and innovative storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a major market newsroom (Top 10 preferred)
• Strong knowledge of the Chicago news landscape
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
• Experience managing multi-platform content and emerging media formats

Work Environment

Fast-paced newsroom environment. Must be flexible with schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. On-site role in Chicago.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $100,000.00-125,000.00 annually.
