Job summary

The United States Senate seeks a Photographer in the Senate Photographic Services branch within the Support Services department to create executive-level visual communication products.

The multimedia team covers official portraits, hearings, press conferences, inaugurations, and other major events; you will support short-form videos and still photography efforts with independence and strong collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; capable of directing subjects for best visuals.
• Requires independence and initiative in planning and coordinating photo assignments.
• Experience consulting with stakeholders to achieve client results.
• Ability to operate video, audio, lighting, and photography equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cover a wide variety of events including official portraits, hearings, press conferences, inaugurations, and other institutional events.
• Produce executive-level stills and short-form video content; contribute to multimedia products.
• Direct subjects and groups to achieve the best visual outcomes.
• Operate video, audio, lighting, and photography equipment and coordinate with staff.
