About Distyl AI

Distyl is an applied AI technology company partnering with the world’s most ambitious institutions to rearchitect critical operations for the frontier of AI. Our customers include the largest companies in telecom, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, consumer goods, and global social organizations. We research and deploy technologies that power AI-native operations — both for our partners and for Distyl itself. Our work spans research into self-constructing systems, the development of the most reliable execution of AI systems, and products that transform mission-critical workflows. As a result, Distyl's technologies affect some of the world's largest operations — from hundreds of millions of consumer interactions to tens of millions of supply chain transactions and millions of patient journeys. Distyl is backed by leading investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Khosla Ventures, Coatue, DST Global, and the board-members of 20+ F500s.

What We Are Looking For

Distyl’s CEO operates at a fast pace across Fortune 500 customers, investors, board members, candidates, partners, and the press, often across multiple cities in the same week. Keeping that work moving requires someone who can manage critical details while also solving unfamiliar problems with speed and judgment.

This role is equal parts executive support and business problem-solving. You will coordinate complex logistics, manage priorities, build relationships, and take ambiguous requests from idea to completion. You will not simply manage activity around the CEO; you will help the entire operation run better.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious professional to learn how a high-growth AI company is built from inside the Office of the CEO. You will receive significant exposure and you will earn increasing responsibility by executing exceptionally well, demonstrating sound judgment, and consistently taking work off the CEO’s plate.

What You’ll Do
  • Turn requests into outcomes. Take ownership of unfamiliar, multi-step needs—whether securing an urgent international visa, preparing for an important meeting, researching a business question, or coordinating a strategic project. Determine the path forward, involve the right people, and drive the work to completion
  • Create leverage for the CEO. Manage scheduling, travel, meeting preparation, personal logistics, and follow-up with precision. Maintain a clear view of priorities and commitments so important details do not get dropped
  • Deliver exceptional external experiences. Ensure that candidates, customers, investors, board members, and partners experience thoughtful communication and flawless coordination. When plans change, respond calmly and protect both the relationship and the CEO’s time
  • Help develop important relationships. Research stakeholders, identify paths to valuable introductions, coordinate thoughtful outreach, and follow up persistently. Learn when to keep pursuing an objective, when to try a different approach, and when to recommend moving on.
  • Strengthen the Office of the CEO. Create trackers, workflows, briefing materials, daily priority summaries, meeting-preparation standards, and follow-up systems. Identify recurring friction and build a better process
  • Work across the company. Coordinate with founders’ associates, executives, employees, and external vendors. Communicate clearly, establish ownership, and keep projects moving even when no one reports directly to you
What We’re Looking For
  • A recent graduate or professional with approximately 0–3 years of experience
  • A strong record of academic, professional, entrepreneurial, or extracurricular achievement
  • High agency and resourcefulness, you try multiple paths to solve a problem rather than dropping the task when the first approach fails
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • The judgment to handle confidential information and interact professionally with senior executives
  • Comfort moving between strategic projects and hands‑on logistics without viewing either as beneath you
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn unfamiliar subjects quickly
  • A low-ego, service-oriented approach combined with ambition and a desire to grow
  • Comfort operating in an environment where priorities move quickly and the playbook is still being written
  • Fluency with AI tools and an instinct for using technology to improve your work
  • Ability to work from our San Francisco office
What Success Looks Like
  • The CEO spends more time on the company’s highest-value priorities.
  • Important commitments and follow-ups are completed without reminders.
  • Complex logistics run smoothly, even when plans change.
  • Stakeholders experience Distyl as thoughtful, responsive, and exceptionally well organized.
  • Ambiguous requests become completed outcomes.
  • The systems supporting the Office of the CEO become increasingly proactive and scalable.
  • As trust develops, you take ownership of progressively broader projects and responsibilities.
Why This Opportunity Is Different

This is not a conventional Executive Assistant position, nor is it a purely strategic role. It is a hands‑on opportunity for someone who wants direct exposure to the decisions, relationships, and operating challenges behind a rapidly growing AI company.

The right person will be equally willing to solve an urgent travel problem, prepare the CEO for a consequential meeting, improve an internal system, or drive a cross-functional project. No task is too small when it creates leverage, and no problem is too ambiguous to begin solving.

What We Offer
  • The base salary range for this role is $100K-$140K, depending on experience, location, and level. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for meaningful equity, along with a comprehensive benefits package
  • 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
  • Flexible time off
  • Comprehensive wellness benefits, including physical fitness, mental well-being, and fertility and family-building benefits through Carrot
  • Complimentary in-office lunches and snacks provided
  • Access to state-of-the-art AI models, generous usage of modern AI tools, and real-world business problems
  • Ownership of high-impact projects across top enterprises
  • A mission-driven, fast-moving culture that values curiosity, pragmatism, and excellence

Distyl has offices in San Francisco and New York. This role follows a hybrid collaboration model with 3+ days per week (Tuesday–Thursday) in the San Francisco office.

We believe diverse perspectives make our work stronger and more impactful. We are an equal opportunity employer and evaluate all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.
