Job summary

Heywood Healthcare in Massachusetts seeks a physician leader to oversee the OB-GYN service line, driving clinical quality, staffing models, and coverage schedules. You will own obstetrics and gynecology quality metrics and lead departmental initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

You will also steer recruitment and retention for women's health, collaborate with nursing leadership on L&D operations, and shape growth strategies across the system while aligning with organizational quality

Qualifications

MD or DO, board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Active or eligible Massachusetts medical license.

Responsibilities

A. Medical Affairs / CMO-Office Responsibilities: serve as the CMO Office delegate for medical staff and patient safety matters; support credentialing and privileging; act as alternate contact; participate in Quality & Patient Safety Committee activities; serve on system-wide committees; coordinate with CMO on multi-specialty quality initiatives; represent the CMO's office in planning discussions; stay familiar with medical staff bylaws and reporting obligations.
B. Women's Health / OB-GYN Service Line Leadership: lead the OB-GYN department's clinical quality, staffing model, and coverage/call schedules; own departmental quality and safety metrics; lead physician recruitment and retention for women's health; partner with nursing on L&D operations; develop and execute growth plan for women's health; represent service line in system planning and grants; ensure practices align with quality standards.
