Job summary

Vibra Healthcare's Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills in Rapid City, SD seeks a Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing and clinical services, guiding patient care and staff development from the top.

You will direct staffing plans and departmental budgets, work with physicians, uphold regulatory standards, and promote the facility through external and internal activities. Requires MSN/MHA, RN license, and 5+ years in nursing management.

Qualifications

BSN required.
MS in Health Administration, Nursing or related field required.
Five (5) years experience in a Nursing Management position supervising the delivery of patient care required.
Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
Valid driver’s license may be required where work is provided in multiple sites.

Responsibilities

Direct nursing and clinical services, and assumes an active leadership role in the hospital’s decision-making structure and process.
Ensure competence of the clinical staff, facilitate appropriate staffing for patient care, and develop departmental budgets.
Develop hospital-wide systems and policies describing how nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated and met.
Plan for resource utilization, maintain or improve the work environment, and monitor and improve quality of care.
Work with physicians to address patient care needs and enhance patient care systems.
Promote the facility through external and internal activities concerning health care services.
