Job summary

San Juan Regional Medical Center is seeking a Vice President of Quality to lead organizational excellence and performance improvement across the system. This role partners with senior leadership to create a culture of safety, oversee data-driven quality measures, and drive system-wide improvements in patient outcomes.

The VP of Quality will direct Organizational Excellence, Quality Management Systems, Patient Experience, and Infection Control teams, reporting to the CMO and working across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field or 10+ years healthcare experience in hospital quality setting.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively increasing leadership positions.
• CPHQ certification or successful completion within one year of hire.
• Strong knowledge of LEAN/Six Sigma; Black Belt within 3 years of hire.
• Experience with quality data measures, scorecards, data analysis, and communicating data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities for improvements aligned with organizational goals and strategic plan.
• Oversee Performance Improvement and LEAN/Six Sigma projects with guidance to system.
• Develop and manage the Quality Plan, budget, policies, and goals.
• Lead the Quality Team, including education, staffing, payroll, recruitment, and reviews.
• Ensure timely Harm and Quality Scorecards accuracy and reporting to leadership.
• Collaborate with CMO and boards on quality committees and reporting.
