Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and four years of full-time criminal investigations, 18 months in supervisory capacity.
• Education/experience may substitute as described; firearms qualification required.
• Valid NYS driver’s license and ability to pass medical, drug, psychological tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist executive leadership and support all investigative activities, including search warrants and arrests.
• Coordinate specialized units, allocate resources, and foster interdepartmental collaboration.
• Conduct threat assessment and mitigate credible threats with law enforcement partners.
• Develop protective intelligence from open-source and law enforcement channels.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate Bureau personnel; promote accountability.
• Advise on complex undercover operations and provide strategic guidance.
• Manage complex investigations to meet priorities and standards.
• Support interagency relationships and develop new surveillance technologies.
• Adapt to irregular hours; ensure Bureau readiness.
