Job summary

Villanova University invites applications for the Executive in Residence position in the Villanova School of Business in Villanova, PA. The role includes teaching undergraduate/graduate courses (6 credits) and leadership of the Villanova Venture Capital initiative, working with multiple university units and stakeholders.

The position begins Spring 2027 and reports to the Department Chair of Marketing and Business Law.

Qualifications

• Significant private sector experience in business, especially venture capital.
• Proven success teaching undergraduate students.
• Experience in institutional investing.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses (6 credits, typically two courses) as assigned by the Department Chair.
• Lead and oversee the Villanova Venture Capital (VVC) initiative, including student programming and Fund oversight.
• Coordinate with other university units (e.g., IIE, Scapra Center, General Counsel, Investments, Financial Affairs).
• Coordinate with O’Donnell Center staff for VVC events and marketing materials on Handshake.
• Publish venture/entrepreneurship research in peer-reviewed and popular outlets.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
