Job summary

Hotel de la Poste in New Orleans seeks a Housekeeping Manager to assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing associates and ensuring cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and other areas. Lead housekeeping operations, maintain sanitation standards, and collaborate across departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a related role, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage schedules, training, and safety

Qualifications

• One to two years of post-high school education.
• Experience required by position is from one to two years of employment in a related position.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition; good guest communication.

Responsibilities

• Direct, interview, hire, counsel, and plan work schedules for housekeeping staff.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and assign room duties.
• Assist Executive Housekeeper with hiring and promotions decisions.
• Monitor staff productivity and manage complaints and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure cleanliness standards across guest rooms, public areas, and laundry.
