Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to oversee housekeeping operations and staff, ensuring high-quality guest service while maximizing room revenue. The role may require flexible scheduling.

You will supervise room attendants and laundry staff, manage inventory and budgets, and lead human resources activities from recruitment to training. A strong focus on guest satisfaction and cost controls is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping operations ensuring brand and Island Hospitality standards.
• Supervise Room Inspectors, Attendants, Houseperson and Laundry Attendants.
• Maintain inventory of uniforms and supplies; place requisitions as needed.
• Forecast, monitor, and control budget components to maximize revenue and reduce costs.
• Prepare staff schedules aligned with budgets and forecasts.
• Manage HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, evaluations, training and discipline.

As our Executive Housekeeper, you will be accountable for overseeing the organization, staff, and quality of the operations in the Housekeeping department while providing all guests with quality service and maximizing room revenue.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Job Requirements

• Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guests check out
• Conducting daily room inspections to ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and Island Hospitality Management's standards
• Supervise, monitor, and follow up on duties of Room Inspectors, Room Attendants, Houseperson and Laundry Attendants engaged in all types of the hotel cleaning operation
• Keep an inventory of department uniforms and supplies and make requisitions when you need to replenish
• Forecast, monitor, and control budget components of the housekeeping department to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
• Ensure that departments achieve or exceed guest's service expectations
• Control all purchases for the department, consistently aware of quality and cost
• Prepare team member schedules in accordance with budgets and business forecasts
• Manage human resources functions including recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions

Job Qualifications

• Knowledge of budget preparation, payroll, and cost spending controls
• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Ability to work well in stressful situations
• Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
• Valid Driver's License is preferred
