Job summary

Spring Gardens Assisted Living in Orem, UT is seeking a full-time experienced Head Chef who would like to make an immediate impact in our residents' lives by providing delicious food and excellent customer service.

The Head Chef is responsible for training, scheduling, directing and managing food and dining to ensure residents receive the highest quality of customer service, efficiency and professionalism during their mealtimes.

Qualifications

• A passion for excellence.
• Be a progressive and creative thinker.
• Culinary Degree desired.
• Experience working in Senior Living.
• Food and Beverage Manager experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages food supplies and personnel to ensure operations are within budget and compliant with health regulations and Five Star standards.
• Manage, schedule, evaluate and direct the kitchen staff.
• Ensure a sanitary dining room complying with all health codes and policies.
• Supervise and direct the cleaning of all dining and food services.
• Develop and implement training, policies, and processes for grooming, attire and service etiquette.
• Survey residents to determine satisfaction and implement corrections.
• Assist Servers, Cooks and other Dining Services in their duties as needed.
• Greet and seat residents, welcome new residents and ensure they feel comfortable.
• Track resident attendance at meals and report non-attending residents for safety checks.
• Support community marketing through positive interactions and presentation.
