Job summary

Par Health is seeking an Executive Director of Supply Chain to define strategy and manage daily supply chain operations across all business segments. You will own planning for external manufacturing, logistics, and the IBP process, including commercial demand inputs, material availability, and timely shipments to customers.

You will drive inventory optimization, service levels, and cost management while collaborating with Operations, R&D, Commercial, Quality, IT, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or materials management or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years in logistics/supply chain/manufacturing with 5+ years in supervision.
• APICS certification in Production and Inventory Management, Six Sigma and Lean preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Supply Chain function across ~200 products and materials within Par Health’s network.
• Plan for short- and long-term continuity and network strategy objectives.
• Maintain a high level of customer service (UFR/OTIF) and optimize costs.
• Lead the IBP process with finance, operations and commercial teams.
• Ensure material availability and supplier performance with procurement and quality.
• Oversee transportation logistics and import/export to minimize cost and maximize service.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and talent development across the team.

Job Description Summary

The Executive Director, Supply Chain) defines the strategy and manages the daily activities of Par Health’s supply chain processes with particular focus on service, cost, capability, and people. This role will own planning for all business segments, external manufacturing, logistics, and the IBP Process to include the meeting cycles, the commercial demand inputs, the manufacturing & supply plans, the availability of materials, and the timely shipments of product to our customers.

The individual will be primarily accountable for inventory (cash), service levels, material write-offs, and costs to distribute products. This role will interact with all levels of management including Operations, R&D, Commercial, Quality, IT, and Finance, and will coordinate best practices with Site and across the network.

Job Description

Essential Functions

• Manages the Supply Chain function across ~200 products and deploys internally and externally sourced materials across the Par Health Supply network to meet financial and service-level objectives
• Manages both short-term planning requirements as well as long-term business continuity and network strategy objectives
• Establishes and maintains a high level of customer service (UFR/OTIF).
• Responsible for facilitation of the IBP Process, assuring alignment across financial, operational, and commercial objectives
• Works with Procurement and Quality to establish reliable supplier performance and risk mitigation strategies to ensure availability of materials to support supply plans
• Works with Finance and Manufacturing to manage operational inventory to ensure adequate stocking levels for immediate production items as well as forecasting for future requirements, while managing cash /turns for the enterprise
• Manage the division’s transportation logistics, trade compliance and import/export practices to ensure distribution of products direct to customers, or through distribution centers / warehouses are completed with optimum service at the most efficient cost
• Provides leadership by promoting teamwork, collaboration, coaching, counseling, retention, mentoring, training, talent management, and personal development
• Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management
• Travel as required to meetings and plant visits as needed to support communication and the company / departmental goals and objectives

Qualifications

Education & Experienc e

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or materials management or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 - 10 years' logistics/supply chain/manufacturing work experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory/management capacity required.

Knowledge

• APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management, Six Sigma and Lean Expert preferred

Skills & Abilities

• Strong leadership qualities including interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage conflict effectively.
• Must be innovative and flexible in responding to a rapidly changing environment while working to achieve organizational and budgetary goals
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) practices and systems
• Familiarity with Supply Chain Segmentation Analysis and impacts/tradeoff’s with Volume, Variety and Volatility
• JD Edwards/BPCS/JDA/SAP (Blue Yonder) Planning Suite experience strongly desired.
• Must embrace lean enterprise principles and practices. Practical experience in implementing lean technologies and concepts.
• Demonstrated competence with Windows and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Working Condition s

• This position works predominantly in an office type environment.
• Travel to plants is required. Travel is approximately 25%.

Scope of Authority

• This position reports to the COO and will have multiple direct reports. This position will work frequently with senior leaders in R&D, Operations and Commercial.
