Iona University seeks a Senior Director of Student and Academic Services for the LEXICON Center of Excellence in New Rochelle, NY. This full-time, grant-funded role oversees daily operations and shapes a hybrid student experience across in-person, online, and blended learning environments.

The position emphasizes retention, mentorship, and collaboration with graduate admissions, faculty, and campus offices to advance diverse teacher-preparation programs and report on program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in early childhood/k-12 or higher education.
• Experience in project and business management.
• Supervising staff and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient with LMS, SIS, and educational technology.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage academic success, retention and mentorship programs for graduate and 4+1 education students.
• Collaborate with Graduate Admissions to recruit students into education master’s programs and the LEXICON Center of Excellence.
• Supervise the Lexicon Mentor Fellowship and provide mentorship to new teachers.
• Monitor online graduate student experience, retention, and program completion rates.
• Coordinate with PI/Co-PI to measure online education quality and outcomes.
• Drive data-informed improvements in the online learning environment.
• Support Summer Clinic staff training and clinical experiences.
• Hire Summer Clinic staff and tutors for program execution.
• Coordinate with External Evaluator to write year-end reports.
• Collaborate with campus offices to support Lexicon participants and program efforts.
