Job summary

Stroke Awareness Oregon is seeking an Executive Director for a full-time, on-site role in Bend, OR. You will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight, guiding program development, community outreach, fundraising, and partnership cultivation to advance SAO's mission.

You will manage daily operations, develop annual plans and budgets, ensure governance compliance, and build strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and staff supervision experience in mission-driven organizations.
• Strong skills in strategic planning, budgeting, and managing multiple programs.
• Proven fundraising, donor relations, grant writing, and community partnership experience.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for SAO.
• Oversee daily operations: programs, outreach, fundraising, partnerships.
• Develop and manage annual plans and budgets; ensure governance compliance.
• Build relationships with donors and stakeholders; represent SAO publicly.
• Collaborate with Board of Directors; mentor two direct reports.
