Job summary

Morgan State University is seeking an Executive Director for Post Award Grant Operations to oversee the financial management of grant programs. You will ensure budgets and forecasts are developed, monitor revenues and expenditures, and provide financial reporting and close procedures.

Strong knowledge of Uniform Guidance and grant regulations is essential. The role leads the Restricted Funds Accounting team and reports to the AVP for F&A and the AVP for Research, guiding a high-function grants

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• At least eight years of grant budgeting and accounting experience.
• CPA preferred; knowledge of GAS, GASB and Single Audit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial management of grants and compliance with funding rules.
• Develop and maintain budgets and related forecasts for grants.
• Monitor grant revenues, expenditures, and receivables; prepare financial reports.
• Manage grant closings, supervise grant accountants, and lead monthly close/reconciliations.
