The Director will manage staffing, budgeting, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning to enhance OR efficiency and patient outcomes across the Perioperative continuum.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in leadership healthcare administration.
• Registered Nurse License required by NYS.

Responsibilities

• Develops and sustains an environment that supports excellence in nursing practice and patient care.
• Manages staff processes: interviewing, hiring, development, retention, evaluation, counseling, discipline and termination.
• Oversees budgeting and resource planning for Perioperative Services.
• Leads quality improvement initiatives and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Coaches and mentors managers and staff; models professional behavior and leadership.
• Collaborates with administration and physicians to drive OR efficiency, throughput and patient outcomes.
• Reviews financial reports and identifies cost-saving opportunities.
• Participates in strategic planning and organizational performance improvement.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nursing
