Job summary

City of Keller seeks a seasoned Parks and Recreation Director to oversee the Parks, Recreation, Public Arts, The Keller Pointe and KSAC operations. You will design programs, manage contracts and grants, direct budgets, and implement policies to preserve parks, trails, and community events.

The role requires a Master’s in a related field, 10 years in public administration with five years in leadership, CPRP/CTRP preferred, and strong communication and analytical skills to work with elected

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in parks, recreation, public administration or related field.
• Minimum 10 years progressive management in public administration.
• Five years of supervisory and Local Government experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs department operations for Parks, Recreation, Public Arts, The Keller Pointe and KSAC.
• Oversees program design, event planning and facility rentals.
• Manages contracts, grants, budgets and compliance with regulations.
• Prepares reports for City Manager and boards; develops policies and procedures.
