Qualifications

  • OD degree with a minimum of five years in health professions education.
  • Optometrist must be eligible for Kentucky licensure with expanded therapeutics and participate in patient care.
  • Demonstrated success in curriculum development and outcomes-based assessment.
  • Familiarity with NBEO exam structure and trends in health professions education.
  • Experience with AI tools and educational technology in instructional settings.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, operate, and develop KYCO clinical programs and sites.
  • Advise on budget planning, equipment purchases, and program development.
  • Oversee clinical staff and coordinate staff recruitment and development.
  • Align clinical operations with funding agency requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Lead regular meetings with the Dean and clinical staff to review goals and performance.
