Job summary

The American Red Cross is hiring an Executive Director for the Ohio River Valley Chapter in Parkersburg, WV. The role leads community engagement, fundraising, disaster response integration, staff and volunteer teams, and cross-functional collaboration to advance chapter goals.

The ED represents the organization publicly, builds strategic partnerships, and ensures robust program delivery in alignment with regional directions and board governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Management experience helpful; ability to work on a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead chapter planning and drive progress toward objectives.
• Meet revenue targets and manage donor accounts with Regional Executive guidance.
• Develop and support philanthropy committees and engage local stakeholders.
• Oversee board governance, development, and full volunteer leadership for the chapter.
• Foster strategic relationships with elected officials and community leaders.
• Partner with Communications and Fundraising to align messaging and campaigns.
