Job summary

North Lake Care Center in Lake Park, Florida is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead all clinical operations in a Skilled Nursing Facility. This full-time executive role requires prior DON experience in SNF settings.

The DON will ensure CMS compliance, regulatory leadership, staffing stability, clinical quality, and survey readiness. They will oversee budgeting, data quality, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary leadership team to drive patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license required.
• 2+ years as Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Demonstrated survey experience and regulatory leadership.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and long-term care compliance.
• Proven ability to manage and retain nursing staff.
• Experience overseeing staffing, labor management, and clinical operations in SNF.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of all nursing operations within the SNF.
• Ensure compliance with CMS and state long-term care regulations.
• Maintain survey readiness and lead regulatory inspections and plans of correction.
• Oversee staffing strategy, scheduling oversight, and nursing leadership development.
• Monitor clinical documentation, infection control practices, and quality indicators.
• Lead QAPI initiatives and performance improvement efforts.
• Manage nursing department budget and labor oversight.
• Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team.
