Job summary

Providence is seeking an Executive Director Nursing to lead Acute Care Services, Children’s Hospital and Women’s Services at SHMC in Spokane. The role includes responsibility for operations, staffing, and ensuring evidence-based practice aligned with safety and quality goals.

You will partner with physicians and executives to drive patient safety, staffing effectiveness, and strategic initiatives across inpatient units and specialty services, working in a hybrid onsite/remote model within the

Qualifications

• Requires Washington RN license upon hire.
• 10+ years of progressive clinical leadership experience including senior nursing management roles.
• Experience with Women & Children’s Services strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inpatient nursing departments for adults and children’s hospital, including productivity, quality, and contractual compliance.
• Direct nursing policies, procedures, standards, and staffing plans within the ministry.
• Act as the key nursing liaison to staff, physicians, and the community on behalf of the CNO/COO.
• Ensure nursing practice is evidence-based and compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with service line directors and leaders to integrate care delivery across the ministry.
