Job summary

The University of Cincinnati Foundation seeks an Executive Director of Development for the College of Medicine. This senior role leads a major gifts program, mentors a high-performing team, and partners with the Dean and senior leaders to advance transformational philanthropy.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with substantial development experience (or an advanced degree with significant relevant experience) and a proven track record in securing $100K+ gifts while building durable donor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7–10 years of progressive development experience, or an advanced degree with 5–7 years.
• Proven success securing major and principal gifts of $100K+ and managing complex donor relationships.
• Strong leadership and management experience, including team development and mentorship.
• Ability to communicate scientific, clinical, and educational priorities to philanthropic audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan with annual and multi-year goals.
• Lead Dean’s development outreach, including prospect strategy and stewardship.
• Recruit, motivate and manage a development team, set objectives and evaluate performance.
• Oversee documentation of donor interactions and outcomes via reports.
