Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking a senior leader to drive enterprise-wide medical economics strategy, own the Medical Economics Engine, define capability requirements, and partner with cross-functional executives to surface actionable insights.

This hybrid role requires in-office presence three days per week at the designated office location and will lead the VI program, mentor teams, and shape strategies to reduce costs while improving medical value through analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Actuarial Science, Healthcare Economics, or related field.
• 12 years of experience in healthcare analytics, medical economics, or financial modeling analysis or 10 years of experience with an advanced degree
• 7 years’ experience in a leadership capacity; ability to lead a team of internal subject matter experts and external strategic advisors

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Medical Economics Engine by setting program strategy, defining requirements for capability builds, and overseeing testing and delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to help define overall program strategy and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Own the business requirements and functional strategy for all components of the MEE platform, partnering with data/IT teams on prioritization and adoption.
• Serve as a core leader for the Value Improvement task force to identify cost drivers and derive actionable insights to reduce costs.
