Job summary

The Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC) seeks an experienced Executive Director to lead the organization and partner with the Board, staff, and members in achieving its mission in death education, bereavement care, and research.

The role focuses on strategic oversight, sustaining financial health, program excellence, and growth in membership and events, with CMP certification preferred and a master’s degree or equivalent required, and a collaborative, transparent leadership

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent required; CMP preferred.
• Proven leadership in nonprofit settings.
• Experience with fundraising and governance activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational leadership with the Board and staff.
• Oversee event planning, management and program delivery.
• Strengthen organizational effectiveness and financial sustainability.
• Represent ADEC to members and the public; build partnerships.
