Qualifications

  • The Center for Human and Robot Co-Adaptation seeks a Managing Director as senior-most staff member.
  • Coordinate across universities, research threads, HERO facility network, and advisory committees.
  • Proactively identify key needs for the Center's success.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Center to visitors, university leadership, NSF, media, and government.
  • Coordinate cross-center alignment and identify opportunities.
  • Match resources to Center activities.
  • Oversee Center activities, milestones, reporting, and dissemination.
  • Establish cross-center processes and communication channels.
  • Manage External Advisory Committee, Industry Advisory Board, and others.
  • Organize annual planning, site visits, panels, and meetings.
  • Provide operational direction to Center Staff.
  • Build project management infrastructure to track progress.
  • Track milestones, risks, decisions, and actions.
  • Identify opportunities to engage staff with research teams.
  • Assess progress toward Y1/Y3/Y5 goals.
  • Coordinate budgets, subawards, expenditures, and contracts.
  • Forecast and manage Center resources.
  • Coordinate NSF reporting and institutional coordination.
