Mass General Brigham in Newton-Wellesley Hospital seeks an Executive Director, Philanthropy to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that achieves annual and long‑term philanthropic goals. You will lead a high‑performing team and collaborate with hospital leadership, physicians, volunteers, and donors to advance care and research.

Reporting to the Vice President of Development, System Philanthropy and the Newton-Wellesley Hospital President, you will oversee annual giving,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of fundraising experience.
• 5–7 years in management or leadership.
• 3–5 years in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and execute fundraising strategies.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to analyze fundraising metrics.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of fundraising best practices and donor stewardship.

Responsabilités

• Develop philanthropic strategy aligned with Newton‑Wellesley Hospital priorities and Mass General Brigham Development goals.
• Achieve annual fundraising goals across major gifts, annual giving, grateful patient giving, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, and special initiatives.
• Partner with hospital leadership to identify and advance philanthropic opportunities supporting care, research, education, capital projects, and growth.
• Lead fundraising team and coordinate with shared services for alignment and excellence.
• Oversee donor stewardship, prospect management, budgeting, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with finance, marketing, patient experience, and clinical departments to integrate philanthropy into organizational priorities.
• Represent the hospital as the primary philanthropic ambassador with donors and community partners.
